Process Integration
CUBLEX series
Multifunction production on a machining center platform.
3-in-1 (5-axis milling + turning + grinding)
During the early development phase of the MAM72-series, there was already demand for a 5-axis machine with a turning function. At the time it wasn’t possible, but in 2006, more than a decade after the release of the MAM72-1, Matsuura developed our first multi-functional 5-axis machining center, equipped with milling, turning, and grinding functions: the CUBLEX-25.
Since the CUBLEX-25 was designed based on the 5 axis machining center configuration, comparing with a lathe-based mutitasking machine it can maintain the same machining capability of a 5-axis machining center, with high rigidity, high speed/precision production, and an expanded capacity for tools and pallets to support unmanned operation. Combined with the ability to rotate the spindle and C-axis simultaneously, the CUBLEX was able to incorporate milling, turning, and grinding functions into one machine to acheive the ultimate process integration.
